Late one night a man was wandering around near a street lamp. Anxious and upset he circled under the lamp as if he were looking for something important.
A “good Samaritan” happened to be walking by and, as good Samaritans are apt to do, he offered to help the troubled man. “What are you looking for?” asked the Samaritan.
“Lost my wallet”, said the man apprehensively. ”I’ve been searching around here for a while and I just can’t seem to find it. I’m afraid I’ve lost my cash, credit cards, license, and all that important stuff. I’ll be in trouble if I don’t find it soon.
The Samaritan asked, “Where was the last place you remember having your wallet?”
The man pointed and said, “Over there in that dark alley near that stinky, disgusting dumpster.”
“Then why are you looking here?” asked the Samaritan.
The man quickly answered, “Because the light’s better.”
